Home made CNC router

After the building the machineĀ  I made an example by engraving “Techible.net” in a piece of plastic (the kind used to make tables in laboratories). It has a white layer on the outside and is dark brown to black on the inside. Show time…

I should have used a smaller bit or made the board a larger. It’s readable but some walls are way to thin. As a result of the misalignment in the beginning there’s a hole in the t at the end. It’s a pity but hey, the machine works!

    Very nice machine!
Did you make plans before your started to build? If so, can you share them?

    Thanks.
Yes I made plans. But unfortunately I made them using an educational version of Solid Edge. I’m not a student anymore and my license expired. If I ever have access to a computer with an educational license I’ll make some screenshots or a pdf.
