Online money making for beginners

The time that only nerds and Internet specialists could earn money on the Internet is over. Today we are inundated with ways to earn money online. But does it actually work? And how do you start with it?

A quick search on “making money online” gives a lot of Google results. A large part of the results refers to pages where e-books are sold about making money online. Others refer to weblogs where e-books and programs are promoted and where we can find useful information for free.

The pages we need are the blogs. Although most blogs do not give full descriptions about how you can earn money through Internet the best, by reading various articles and blogs you can also find out how to tackle the issues on your way to making some cash online.

No problem if you do not feel like figuring it all out yourself. I’ve gone to study the useful information and tips that I encountered and summarized it all for you.

There are many ways to earn money via the Internet. Some are prohibited by law and ethically not really justified. Therefore I will not tell you where you should buy replica watches and Viagra pills and how you can resell them. There are also numerous Pay Per Install programs that are spread through peer to peer networks, making it difficult to find the things you are really after. Pretty annoying.

I will only explain ways that are ethically justified and that doesn’t annoy the average Internet user. Ready? Let’s get started.

First question to answer:
Do you have a website or not?
Although it’s very useful to have an online operating base (like a weblog) it’s not necessary to have a website. A weblog can increase your income drastically when used well. I recommend setting up a one. To do this you can create an account on WordPress.com or use your own WordPress installation.

Now think of what you’re good at? Do you know much about flowers? Blog about flowers! Don’t try to find a niche that has high payout rates (like cancer, loans, insurance,…) but you know nothing about. It just will not work.

Ok, you have your website and your subject (and not spend a penny). Now you have to register with some (free) programs to get paid for your work. Here’s a small list you should check out:

  • Google AdSense
  • Commission Junction
  • ClickBank
  • TradeDoubler

Use the code you get from the programs and place it in your articles and in your blog design. Search for specific products (like flowers) and use the affiliate links in your article. Each time a reader of the article clicks the link and purchases something you’ll be paid. It’s that simple!

Or not? Ofcourse, you’ll need some visitors to click the advertisements! To do this submit your site to as many search engines and directories as possible. If you want to get your visitors very fast you can pay for ads in Google searches by using AdWords.

This is a very basic introduction to get you started. If you are like me, and you post one article a month you will not earn enough money to quit your job. Content is the key, content, content and more content.
